rexbasior's abslolutely fabulous wish list

I very much envy everyone but me during the holiday season. A couple of days ago I wondered into Borders and thought to myself: Man! I'm way easy to shop for! I like so much stuff! I wish everyone else were as easy as me!

So anyway, I look forward to receiving a lot of good stuff from you. Here are a few suggestions to get you started.

Apparel:

Anything black or grey is pretty cool.

I could always use t-shirts. I prefer shirts that don't say anything on them, but if you're a girl what I want you to do is go and buy one of those t-shirts that say "Chicks dig pale scrawny guys" and then WEAR IT YOURSELF.

I really love socks. Not plain ones. Lots of stripes. Maybe some thigh highs. My dress socks are getting holy. Too holy for church even.

Drag is sorta me, but I actually don't own too many skirts or very much make-up

I'm running out of shoelaces. But they have to be cool.

No fur or leather please.

Reading Material:

I love literature — especially literature with pictures. Right now I'm really into the works of Bill Amend.

Also if you can find some old stuff by Charles Schultz — man, that guy knows his theology.

Comic books are good things. Chris Clairmont-era X-MEN is genius scripting.

I'm huge into coffee table books. If it has to do with movies, comics, art or classical history, I'm all over it.

Something gross and/or creepy.

If there is a pretty good book without pictures, don't think you shouldn't get it.

Music:

For about ten years I've been meaning to buy Bob Marley - Legend.

I need some music to listen to on Sundays. Some quiet hymns would be ok, but I'd really love some classical stuff.

If there is something that you find that might look like it would fit into Halloween, then buy it for me.

Lately I've been liking stuff by The White Stripes, Queens of the Stone Age, Coldplay, The Hives and The Vines. There is also some great new stuff by The Human League as well as Simple Minds. It would be sort of cool to own the new Nirvana greatest hits CD.

It's kind of hard to find in this country, but they have Cowboy Bebop music on CD.

If it's from 80s England with synthesisers, then it's totally fabulous.

Also, I really like vinyl. The album covers are a lot bigger.

Video:

There is a six-disc collection of Cowboy Bebop that would just be divine.

Anything with robots or ninjas is pretty cool.

I dig most cartoons except for Scooby-Doo.

Something dark and/or macabre.

I never turn down Mystery Science Theater 3000.

Blank tapes.

Food:

Chinese, Japanese and Thai.

Cheeseballs and Oreos are cool.

NO NOG.

Calendars: I really like calendars. I seriously buy like five a year.

See how easy it is? These are all just examples, but when I walked into Borders I saw a few things that I absolutely would love to have:

1. The Melancholy Death of Oyster Boy & Other Stories - Tim Burton (book)

2. A Peanuts Christmas - Charles Schultz (book)

3. The Matrix and Philosophy - Edited by William Irwin (book)

4. Movie Posters (calendar)

5. Shag Party (calendar)

If you want to put your list up, just send me a quick email.
